Allison Transmission Neutral Safety Switch Location
I have found a tsb 02 07 30 011c that seems to cover my problems.
Allison transmission neutral safety switch location. The nsbu switch transmits selector position information to the tcm. I am currently having some problems with mine including diagnostic codes p1711 and p1713. Mechanical floor shifters have the neutral safety switch located on the of the transmission. The switch is located in two places on the vehicle.

Grab a creeper flashlight and tools for the job. The neutral safety switch will allow the engine to start with the transmission selector in park and neutral.
